Economic Impact Study

The Bogalusa West Solar Project expects to provide a significant economic boost with minimal impact on local infrastructure while also generating revenue and contributing to local public services. An economic study was conducted to examine the project's positive effect on tax revenues, employment, and overall economic impact during construction and its 35-year operation.  

The project expects to provide $44.7 million in parish property tax revenues and an additional $13.3 million in local sales and state taxes. During the construction phase, Washington Parish will receive an economic boost through $80 million in output,

$39.2 million in new earnings and the creation of nearly 450 jobs during peak construction.
